Sport is an integral part of life at Caister Academy. We pride ourselves on the fact that there should be something for everyone, from students whose ambition is for sporting excellence to Academy electives which focus on opportunity and participation for the love of sport. We believe in the philosophy of “Sport for all” with enjoyment playing a key role in this ethos.

Within the curriculum we give students a progressive programme which unfolds each year providing new challenges and experiences which will help to promote physical literacy and a healthy, active lifestyle. Students have access to a wide and diverse range of extracurricular opportunities from representing the Academy in competitive fixtures in traditional sports such as Football and Netball to opportunities to participate new activities such as skiing and sports leadership. Department electives are complimented by visit and national and international trips such as the Bi-annual Holland football tour.

We are proud of what we offer and the standards we achieve, instilling a love of sport and giving students the confidence to try anything. The Academy boosts excellent sporting facilities on site including a large four court modern sports hall, gymnasium, netball courts and a large field used throughout the year and for our annual summer sports day.
