At Caister Academy, every pupil, across all year groups, can experience expert music tuition. Within our broad music curriculum, pupils are submerged into learning how to play vast variety of instruments, whilst experiencing what it is like to be in an ensemble orchestra or soloist. Our two large music rooms, five instrumental practice rooms, and recording studio, allows our pupils ability and passion to develop even further.

Our extra-curricular offer includes school orchestra, choir and a variety of bands for all to enjoy. Our bespoke, one to one instrumental lessons, allow all pupils to have support from external musical experts working towards their music graded examinations or the refining the fundamentals. We provide students with an array of performance opportunities. Performing with the London Mozart Orchestra, and singing with the Voices Foundation, are but two of the numerous options that we pride ourselves on amongst our extra-curricular music provision.

We also have visiting professional musicians that provide practical workshops to KS3 pupils and help reinforce the importance which we value for our pupils to receive a variety of teaching styles and professional experiences. These professional musicians also provide lectures to KS4 students who are aspiring to take Music in further Education.
