Student Leadership
Welcome from the Head Boy
I am extremely happy to introduce myself as the Head Boy of Caister Academy. Being entrusted with this role is a responsibility that I will approach with dedication and enthusiasm.
Caister Academy is founded on four core values: ambition, opportunity, character, and community. These values are at the heart of everything we do, shaping the experiences and growth of every student in our school.
We firmly believe that each student has great potential. Our mantra, "every student, every subject," serves as a reminder that we are all capable of reaching our goals in our academic journey. Caister encourages us to set high standards, and to challenge ourselves knowing that we can all achieve excellence.
Caister is more than just a place for academic success, it's a place of diverse opportunity where we are encouraged to find and nurture our unique talents. Whether it’s through our large range of extracurricular activities, exciting trips, or leadership opportunities, there is something for everyone.
Our education goes beyond the classroom. We are taught to follow our ambitions, and to be independent young people, equipping ourselves with skills that will serve us long after we graduate. Leadership, teamwork, and personal growth are emphasised to prepare us for future careers.
Being a student at Caister Academy means being part of a vast community - we are encouraged to be responsible and to be kind to everyone, to help us grow as compassionate and responsible individuals.
As I reflect on my journey at Caister, I am deeply thankful for the opportunities, friendships, and challenges that have shaped me. This final year will be a significant step forward in my journey, and I am eager to embrace everything that comes my way.
To all my peers at Caister Academy, I encourage you to challenge yourself and take pride in everything you do. Together, we will continue to learn, grow, and strive for a bright and successful future.

Welcome from the Head Girl
As Head Girl at Caister Academy, I feel very privileged to be selected for this role but above all – I am proud to be a pupil here. Over my time at Caister, I have watched both myself, and my peers, grow and learn together and it fills me with pride to tell you what our school offers to pupils.
Firstly, Caister is a school of great community, with a heavy campaign on Anti-bullying and excellent opportunities of student voice and leadership; the school provides us with a position to not only learn academically but learn and grow from and with each other.
For myself personally however, over my time here I feel that I've learned to take every opportunity given to me and push myself. Without the school’s passion for driving every student’s success I wouldn’t be the confident person I am today; sometimes the future you want for yourself can seem so distant and unattainable, but the school has shown me and so many others that we can in fact achieve our goals and overcome challenges we may face no matter our past experiences, through the opportunities and support given to us. Whether that be career talks, trips to colleges and universities, or engaging and facilitating creative and practical extracurricular clubs and subjects that can point us to our futures.
Particularly, our school also highlights our pupil's creative skill, and our performing arts facilities and performances gifts us with our annual musical, Christmas showcase, and dance showcase, so that not only are we given an opportunity to enrich ourselves in the arts, but also to celebrate with each other our achievements and creations.
Certainly, for me, the ability to be a member of the student leadership team has led me to listen, communicate and lead while appreciating multitudes of viewpoints on issues that are faced by each other daily.
In lessons, no matter a student’s ability, each pupil can receive a high quality of assistance catered to them, whether it is stretching themselves for ‘challenge tasks’ or having extra support when we are struggling. I can willingly say that this would not be true if it weren't for the sheer amount of passion the teachers have to encourage and teach us that we are capable of overcoming doubts or struggles over our education.
Yet, beyond academic skill and pertaining qualifications, the school stresses highly on not only success in lesson but also possessing skills necessary for our lives past school life such as mental wellbeing, empathy, teamwork, and self-reflection so we can pursue our own lives prepared and equipped for hurdles we will face in our lives that aren't taught in textbooks or proven by exams.
When I look back on my time here and witnessing all the incredible work and effort Caister Academy provides for us students, to summarise what the school does and stands for
would be impossible, but what I can say is that I feel immense gratitude for the way this school has shaped my identity and what I believe in, and I think when I leave the school I will sorely miss the environment and the friendships, memories and knowledge I have gained here.

Student Leadership
Student Leadership is an important part of our vision and commitment to students at Caister Academy. We have high aspirations for our students and believe that developing them as leaders plays a key role in community transformation and improving their life chances.
We aim to give students the confidence and oracy skills needed to navigate themselves in elite spaces later in life, as well as the skills needed to lead, and promote positive change in their own communities.
Our Student Leadership Team form an integral part of our Student Voice process and meet regularly with the academy Senior Leadership Team to effect real change in the school. We aim to make our Student Leadership Team diverse and representative of our student body.
Our team is made up of Senior Prefects, Students Ambassadors and Valued Voice Members who all have a role to play in being a voice for our student body, reviewing current practices and provoking change when needed across the academic year.
Our Senior Prefects are voted for by their peers and are given the opportunity and responsibility on leading on self-directed projects within the school as well as being important ambassadors for Caister Academy within the community.
As an academy, we will equip all students with the skills, abilities, attributes, and qualifications to pursue a fulfilling career, contribute positively to their communities and be active, global citizens.
