Our emphasis is on teaching Art across KS3 and KS4, with the disciplines covered including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, fabric painting, digital photography.

At KS3, students are taught within a rotation of subjects that allows students to follow the Key Concepts of CET Knowledge Connected. This rotation promotes a deepening of knowledge, skills and understanding that allows students to further their passions as they move from Year 7 to Year 9.

In Year 10, students can choose to specialize in an area of Art and Design within the KS4 Options process. Both Art and Photography are regularly over-subscribed choices, reflecting the quality first teaching provided at KS3. Outcomes for students at the end of Year 11 are traditionally strong and many students choose to pursue further study at the local Sixth Form and colleges.
